Am I excited about Perfect Picture Book Friday today? This little beauty was face out in the best position in the library and straight away I was drawn in by the fabulous illos and then I recognised the name and the story. A fellow 12 x 12 member, Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen does not disappoint with this wonderful and hilarious book.

Opening and brief synopsis:
Every night up in their beds,

Synopsis: When Mama tries to put her little chicks to bed, they… run wild! Here, we have five little chicks who can’t seem to sleep after being tucked into bed. When Mama Hen decides to join in the fun, how will the chicks react? How does Mama run wild?

This is a classic pb style with lots of fun repetition and excellent rhyming. Those chicks are so cute!
